RULES of the 3rd edition of the International Festival of Photography:
"Photography through the eyes of mother and father" - Polska / Bydgoszcz 2021
Dear Photographers,

Photographing parents, guardians !!!
If you are close to the subject of family, parenthood, motherhood and childhood, and the lenses of your cameras are aimed at everything that is happening in the privacy of your homes with your pupils in the lead role, or you are watching, for example, their growing up or your motherhood or fatherhood. If your kids and family are your inspiration and you record them in your photos documenting your best moments - then we invite you to take part in our festival.
We would like to inform you that we are starting the third edition of the International Festival of Photography "The Eyes of Mother and Father in Photography" and 5 exhibitions of photography on this subject.
The works will be selected through a competition and selection of our specially appointed jury, which this year is represented by: Nadia Stone - French photographer and winner of the first prize of our 1st edition, Milou Krietemeijer-Dirks - Dutch photographer - with her daughter she carried out a project for Vogue, her works Repeatedly presented at Vogue exhibitions and in art galleries and fairs, Beata Kilichowska - Polish photographer, whose works have been awarded many times and presented at exhibitions in Poland and abroad, among others, she represented her works at the exhibition in Paris, representing our group and our gallery and the curator of the Bydgoszcz Musee Fotografii - Marek Noniewicz, honorary patron of our exhibition and the laureate of the previous edition with an extraordinary approach to the subject of childhood - Williams Nourry from Quebec/Canada.
Now you can start viewing your photos and send us the prepared and described files by e-mail. The main rule is that you are the author of the submitted work and that you have the consent of the legal guardian of the photographed heroes of your frames. Please send such a declaration with the photos signed by your legal guardians. The competition is free! You can send up to 10 of your own photos to the competition, necessarily about childhood, adolescence and parenthood and everything related to family life. You can send black and white or color photos with sizes ready to print, that is 300 dpi with a smaller side min. 42 cm signed consecutively: name and surname_ job title_ serial number. jpg or tiff / e.g. JuliaKujawska_RodzinaWKomplecie_1.jpg /
From tomorrow, March 14, 2021, to May 15, 2021, you can send your work by wetransfer to the e-mail address provided: through.a.mothers.eyes.exhibit@gmail.com The first 3 places will be selected and about 20 distinguished works will be displayed on the exhibition in Bydgoszcz, whose patrons will be the City of Bydgoszcz and the Museum of Photography in Bydgoszcz. The opening of the exhibition and the award ceremony is scheduled for May 26, Mother's Day, and will last until the end of June, also celebrating the international children's day on June 1. The works should be submitted no later than May 15, 2021. After this date, they will be assessed by the jury appointed for this. The results should be announced by May 20 at the latest.

Initially, the exhibition opening date and the award ceremony will coincide with the mother's day and the children's day. Browse through your archives for some really good jobs. We'll be moving soon! The title of this festival and post-competition exhibition comes from the name of international photo groups operating on fb - THROUGH A MOTHER'S & FATHER'S EYES PHOTOGRAPHY / "Photography through the eyes of the mother" and "Photography through the eyes of the father". The group was founded in 2013 and is still developing. Every year there is an inauguration concluded with the awarding of prizes after the announced competition addressed to all photographic parents. The exhibition did not take place in 2020 only because of the pandemic. This year we stated that we would like to conduct our event despite adversities. The group of photographers consists mainly of parents and guardians, but our competition is also aimed at all those to whom family and children photography is close to their hearts. The competition was created for the needs of the exhibition, which later traveled around Poland and then also went abroad, transforming into the International Photography Festival. The photographs show childhood through the eyes of their guardians. These are sometimes very warm and different frames, which is impossible to take by a foreign photographer in a photo studio. It's growing up with a camera. Showing motherhood, fatherhood and parenthood. Showing our children as only we see them. Our perspective, our ideas about it. The founder and curator of the exhibition is Anna Ajtner. From the very beginning, the group was represented only by mothers who photograph and interpret their child's childhood - that is why we usually choose the date of the exhibition and the inauguration of the award ceremony during the mother's day and children's day. / May 26 to June 1 / With time, however, the regulations evolved so that no one felt discriminated against, also allowing fathers and generally guardians of children who were the heroes of these noble cadres. The condition for participation was and is, of course, the consent of the full guardian of the child shown in the photo and the fact that he is the author of the photo work. The authors are often winners of prestigious international photography awards. There are over 4,000 active photographers from all over the world in the "Mother's eyes photography" group.
Every day they can post their photos there, where the best ones receive publications and awards from leading administrators. Then, as if the next stage is our festival and exhibition, where we can meet in person and see our models live. Then our works also move from exhibition to exhibition. Books are printed as a souvenir of participation and works can be purchased directly from the authors or, for example, at an art fair in Paris. Many participants of our group fall in love with photography and fulfill themselves in this field on various levels. Many authors and authors achieve world successes and photography has become an inseparable part of their lives. The most beautiful thing is that we can follow the childhood of our heroes and at the same time watch them grow in line with the developing photographic skills of their parents. Tytuł tego festiwalu i wystawy pokonkursowej pochodzi od nazwy międzynarodowej grup fotograficznych dzialajacych na fb - THROUGH A MOTHER'S & FATHER'S EYES PHOTOGRAPHY/„Fotografia oczami matki” i „Fotografia oczami ojca”. Grupa powstała w 2013 roku i wciąż się rozwija. Corocznie odbywa sie inaugaracja zakonczona wreczeniem nagrod po ogloszonym konkursie skierowanym do wszystkich fotografujacych rodzicow. Wystawa nie odbyla sie jedynie w 2020 z powodu pandemii. W tym roku stwierdzilismy, ze bedziemy chcieli przeprowadzic nasze wydarzenie mimo przeciwnosciom losu. Grupe fotografow tworza glownie rodzice, opiekunowie ale nasz konkurs rowniez skierowany jest do wszystkich tych, ktorym fotografia rodzinna, dziecieca jest bliska sercu. Konkurs powstał na potrzeby wystawy, która pozniej podróżowała po Polsce a potem rowniez wyjechala poza granice kraju przeksztalcaajac sie w Miedzynarodowy Festiwal Fotografii. Fotografie ukazuje dziecinstwo okiem ich opiekunow. Sa to czasem bardzo cieple i inymne kadry, ktorych nie sposob jest zrobic obcy fotograf w studio fotograficznym. To dorastanie z aparatem fotograficznym. Ukazanie macierzyństwa, ojcostwa, rodzicielstwa. Ukazanie naszych dzieci tak jak tylko my je widzimy. Nasza perspektywa, nasze na ten temat wyobrazenia. Założycielką i kuratorką wystawy jest Anna Ajtner. Potem jakby kolejnym etapem jest nasz festiwal i wystawa, na ktorej mozemy sie spotkac osobiscie i zobaczyc na zywo naszych modeli. Potem tez nasze prace wedruja z wystawy na wystawe. Drukowane sa ksiazki na pamiatke uczestnictwa a prace mozna nabyc prosto od autorow albo na przyklad na targach sztuki w Paryzu. Wiele uczestniczek i uczestnikow naszych grupy zakochuje sie w fotografii i realizuje sie w tej dziedzinie na roznych plaszczyznach. Wiele autorek i autorów osiagaja światowe sukcesy a fotografia stala sie nierozerwalna czescia ich zycia. Najpiękniejsze jest to, ze możemy sledzic dziecinstwo naszych bohaterow i jednoczesnie patrzec jak wzrastaja na rowni z rozwijajacymi sie umiejetnosciami fotograficznymi swoich rodzicow.

Tytuł tego festiwalu i wystawy pokonkursowej pochodzi od nazwy międzynarodowej grup fotograficznych dzialajacych na fb - THROUGH A MOTHER'S & FATHER'S EYES PHOTOGRAPHY/„Fotografia oczami matki” i „Fotografia oczami ojca”. Grupa powstała w 2013 roku i wciąż się rozwija. Corocznie odbywa sie inaugaracja zakonczona wreczeniem nagrod po ogloszonym konkursie skierowanym do wszystkich fotografujacych rodzicow. Wystawa nie odbyla sie jedynie w 2020 z powodu pandemii. W tym roku stwierdzilismy, ze bedziemy chcieli przeprowadzic nasze wydarzenie mimo przeciwnosciom losu. Grupe fotografow tworza glownie rodzice, opiekunowie ale nasz konkurs rowniez skierowany jest do wszystkich tych, ktorym fotografia rodzinna, dziecieca jest bliska sercu. Konkurs powstał na potrzeby wystawy, która pozniej podróżowała po Polsce a potem rowniez wyjechala poza granice kraju przeksztalcaajac sie w Miedzynarodowy Festiwal Fotografii. Fotografie ukazuje dziecinstwo okiem ich opiekunow. Sa to czasem bardzo cieple i inymne kadry, ktorych nie sposob jest zrobic obcy fotograf w studio fotograficznym. To dorastanie z aparatem fotograficznym. Ukazanie macierzyństwa, ojcostwa, rodzicielstwa. Ukazanie naszych dzieci tak jak tylko my je widzimy. Nasza perspektywa, nasze na ten temat wyobrazenia. Założycielką i kuratorką wystawy jest Anna Ajtner. Potem jakby kolejnym etapem jest nasz festiwal i wystawa, na ktorej mozemy sie spotkac osobiscie i zobaczyc na zywo naszych modeli. Potem tez nasze prace wedruja z wystawy na wystawe. Drukowane sa ksiazki na pamiatke uczestnictwa a prace mozna nabyc prosto od autorow albo na przyklad na targach sztuki w Paryzu.
